Yinan Zhu | 祝驿楠

I am currently a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), under supervision of Prof. Qian Zhang, from Sep 2022 to Mar 2026. Before that, I received my M.Eng. degree in 2022 from the school of Software and BNRist, Tsinghua University, under supervision of Prof. Xuan Ding and Prof. Zheng Yang in the research group of Prof. Yunhao Liu. I was also very fortunate to work with Prof. Chunhui Duan.

• Mobile and Ubiquitous Sensing: Multimodal Sensing (Vision: RGB, IR, Multispectral; Wireless Signals: RFID, WiFi, mmWave; Wearable: IMU, etc.), Low-cost Spectral imaging, Domain Generalization for Mobile Applications, Smart Healthcare

• LLMs for Real-World Applications: AI for Education, MLLMs/VLMs for Industrial Power Systems, Embodied AI with RLHF, Multimodal RL, LLM Self-Evolution

• IoT Systems: RFID and Backscatter Communication, Energy Harvesting for WSNs, etc.

I have published over 30 papers on top-tier conferences and journals such as ACM MobiCom, IEEE INFOCOM, ACM UbiComp/IMWUT, IEEE SECON, IEEE SIGMETRICS, ACM SenSys, IEEE TMC, IEEE IoTJ, IEEE TVT, ACM TOSN. I’m currently working on Multimodal LLMs and Embodied AI.
